Airthrie 360° – Training

At Airthrie Homes, our service users have expressed an interest in developing their
understanding of crucial areas such as health and safety, safeguarding and fire safety.
Recognising the importance of this knowledge in fostering independence and wellbeing,
we will be arranging access to relevant training opportunities. Furthermore, our
in-house programme, Airthrie 360°, offers service users the chance to acquire new
skills and experiences through participation in various workplace activities and
education. This initiative aims to enhance their capabilities and promote greater
independence.

Market Days

Airthrie Homes will be introducing a new initiative known as Market Days, this will
begin with a pilot. This will offer service users the opportunity to sell items such
vegetables, fruit or baked goods. Any money generated from these sales will be
collected within a Service User Petty Cash fund. The purpose of this petty cash will be
for service users to fund future shared activities or leisure items and to support
subsequent Market Day events.

Genealogist

We are currently assisting two service users in learning more about their family
history. To support this, we are working with a professional genealogist who is
conducting research into their family backgrounds. The aim is to discover if there are
any relatives with whom they may wish to connect. One of these individuals
experienced the loss of her closest family members several years ago and is
particularly enthusiastic about the possibility of meeting family members with whom
contact has been lost. We are committed to supporting the personal journeys and
well-being of our service users and believe this program is a great way of doing so.
